Traxxas Ford Mustang Boss 302 Review - Electric Beast
Welcome to the Traxxas Ford Mustang Boss 302 Review. Here you can check out the all new RTR Electric Boss 302 Ford Mustang.
See pictures, videos, learn about the different
upgrades, parts, and pro's/con's.
The Traxxas Boss 302 is fully designed and inspired
by.. you guessed it the actual real size Ford Mustang.
It is made by one of the most popular rc car
manufacturers in the world today -
Traxxas.
It has an array of features and fun things that any
rc enthusiast would be interested in.
First off, the Traxass Boss 302 is 1/16 scale - this
means it's 1/16 the size of the actual real Ford
Mustang. But don't let that small size full you, the
Traxxas Ford Mustang Boss 302 is an electric beast that
goes very fast.
There are two different models for the Traxxas Boss
302 RC car. Basically Traxxas offers two electric
motors...
The Titan 550 Brushless electric motor.
Or the Velineon 380 Brushless electric motor.
Traxxas says the Velineon electric motor is capable of 30 + mph right out of the box
- very impressive. They also assure you, with a couple
of optional upgrades you can reach speeds over 50 mph!
Now that's pretty crazy for a
small electric rc car.
One of the cool things about the Traxxas Ford Mustang
is that it's 4WD or 4x4. In other words you get 4 wheel
drive which helps for better overall control and
maneuvering. If you're interested in 4x4 check out
RC Monster trucks.
You know you're buying quality when the Traxxas Boss
302's chassis and suspension is modeled after the award
winning Traxxas Revo
and Traxxas E Revo.
You also get the new 2.4 GHz radio
controller and waterproof internals. Check out the rest
of the features near the end of the page.
One thing that strikes you right away about the
Traxxas Mustang Boss 302 is how really good it looks.
Traxxas did a bang up job on the decals, paint and
overall rc car body. The
rc car tires look sick with really cool looking
rims, this is great work here folks... looks like the
real thing!
Price point $$$
The Traxxas Ford Mustang Boss 302 is more expensive then you'd think it would be because of it's size.
But just like we said, just because it's small doesn't
mean it ain't powerful - remember most of what you're
paying for is the electric motor.
Depending where you buy rc
cars from online you can get the Traxxas Boss 302
anywhere from $200 to $300 bucks- remember there was two
models, hence the large price gap.
It's more for the velineon traxxas boss model. You can find these on
online rc hobby shops.

Boss 302 RC Car Bodies
If you look hard enough you can find some different rc car bodies for the traxxas ford mustang boss. Here's a picture below of some of the bodies.
You got orange,
navy blue,
white and
red rc car bodies.
There are even some places online where you can buy
clear body shells and make or paint your own design on
them, so that's another cool option if you're the
creative type.
Powerful titan 550 and or Velineon Brushless motors
Easy to maintain & clean
Durable foam front bumper for crashes
Makes a great gift for anyone in the family
Cons
Price point is a bit hefty, but with
Traxxas RC Cars you get what
you pay for - Quality.
Rating & Recommendation
I give the Traxxas Ford Mustang Boss 302 a good
4.5 out of 5.0. Although not as fast as
most nitro rc cars it's super fast for a 1/16 scale
electric
remote control car. It looks
like the real thing and is small and compact and great
for rc drifting.
This electric ready to run rc car is meant for
beginners or intermediates - it's easy to learn on
electric rc cars because they don't require crazy
maintenance. If you're on the fence I say go for it, or
you can check out something similar such as the
Traxxas Rally.
It's only when you get better and more
confident that you upgrade to rc nitro cars and even
start learning
how
to tune a nitro engine.
