All Types and Sizes of RC Car Tires!
RC car tires are sold either separately or come pre-glued to wheels. Almost all rc car manufactures have their own line of tires. Tires can be used to hop
up an rc car or truck and there are several types of tires available. Tire types usually vary according to the type of car and type of surface the car runs
on.
Drift tires are specially made for drift racing and are used on cars such as the RTR Sprint 2 Drift. Composed of rubber and a special resin compound they
ensure that while drifting rc cars tires dont damage rc tracks. These tires are usually mounted on touring car wheels.
This is long wearing tire designed for a hard packed rc track.
This tire is usually used on the front wheels of rc cars and trucks such as the HPI Firestorm 10T. They are superior to pin type tires and provide great
grip.
These tires are good on any terrain and are excellent multi purpose tires. They can be used on both front and rear wheels. Such all terrain tires can be
seen on Team Associateds MGT 4.60 SE and the Traxxas Jato 1/10 scale stadium truck.
The street tire is designed for optimum performance on hard surfaces such as asphalt or concrete. The Anaconda 2.8" street tire can be fitted on the
Traxxas Nitro Rustler and the Traxxas Jato 3.3.
Changing an RC Tire
First use a 4-way wrench to remove the factory tire nuts holding the old tire in place. Replace the old tires with new ones and glue them on making sure
to place thinner tires on the front wheels and wider ones on the rear. Once you have positioned the new tires on the axle replace the tire nuts and tighten
them but do not over tighten. Exchanging rc car tires one by one is a good idea as the tire nuts will not get lost.
